Our Team:
Paul Zachman is the president and founder of Boardwalk Design which is located in the Village of Pittsford. Paul has a degree in Ornamental Horticulture from the State University of New York at Alfred, and he has achieved the designation of Certified Graduate Remodeler from the National Home Builders’ Association. Paul also serves as Chairman for the Architectural Preservation and Review Board, and is on the Joint Boards Steering Committee, and the Development Review Committee for the Village of Pittsford. He has served on the board of the Rochester Civic Garden Center, and is a past president of the GardenScape Professionals Association where he co-chaired the annual flower and garden show GardenScape in 1996, 1997, 1998, 2006, and 2007.
In 2010, Paul and Pittsford Mayor Bob Corby prepared and assembled the 135 page “Village of Pittsford Historic and Architectural Design District Building Design Standards” as a resource for village residents and officials.
Julie Jackson has been with Boardwalk Design since 2000 and acts as the office manager as well as the project manager. Julie is responsible for the behind the scenes service, as well as keeping clients involved with and informed of their construction process.
George Gressell Jr has been with Boardwalk Design since 2005 and acts as one of our lead carpenters. He has over 25 years of experience, and his areas of expertise are remodeling and renovation, as well as experience in new home construction. George works hand in hand with homeowners through the build phase of their project.
Rick Ebert , another of our lead carpenters, has been with Boardwalk Design since 2002, and brings to the team over 30 years of experience in the landscaping and deck construction business. In addition to his contributions to the Outdoor Living division of Boardwalk, Rick is known for his eye for detail, and his ability to describe the “big picture” to our clients.
Peter Kelley joined the Boardwalk Team in 2008. As our newest lead carpenter, Peter is also the youngest bringing with him new ideas and as well as an eagerness to learn the “Boardwalk Way”. He returns to the Rochester area after working for 3 years in the Boston. During that time he worked for a firm performing tasks from framing to finish on new homes and custom remodels.
